Jolene loves travelling by car as it allows her to enjoy slow travel and immerse herself into the beauty of ever-changing landscapes that leave her awestruck with the beauty of her favorite places in the Yukon, British Columbia and Alberta. She shifted her career into tourism in 2017 to continue to fuel her passion and assist businesses working in tourism to succeed.

She joined the Tourism Café in April 2023, having enjoyed working for the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association in British Columbia. and supporting a wide range of initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic including destination development, brand and experience development, stakeholder relations and she was a tourism resiliency advisor supporting small businesses throughout central BC.

Complementing her tourism industry knowledge is a broad range of skills with technology, website development, social media management, customer service, office administration and client communication.  In her role in overseeing the Tourism Café’s learning management system, her patience with people, combined with a bubbly personality and desire to share her tech passion with others, unites her skills and knowledge in one position, while staying true to her love of travel and supporting others to succeed.
